Post #1: Life, Hard but Sweet.

You know how in school we are asked what we would like to be when we grow up and they require us to select a profession, what did you choose?

I was in the first grade when they asked me, but I still remember how indecisive I felt. Most kids just chose the first thing that came to their mind. Walking down the hall and looking at all of our shadow portraits and the careers we chose you would’ve seen a lot of astronauts and race car drivers. During that time I was going to the dentist, and like I said, I didn’t know what I wanted to be so I chose to be a dentist. (I know, weird right?)

I’m grown now and I did not become a dentist. (But I am pretty obsessed about brushing my teeth 😁.) And although I didn’t get to become the artist I wanted to be, I did realize that it didn’ matter what job you choose to do. What mattered is that you were happy with what you had. (There’s a lot more to it than that but that’s the gist.)

So here I am on WordPress trying to get back in touch with my creative side after neglecting it for so long. I am trying to feed that side of me that made me happy way back when I drew. Maybe you’re wonder why did I stop. I think I’ll save that for a future post, but for now I’ll just say that life is hard but…at times, it can be pretty sweet. I’ve decided to give photography a try as my drawing skills aren’t exactly what they used to be.

These are few photos I took around our campfire this new years. I was experimenting with the shutter speed.

Fireworks are usually an interesting subject to photograph.

 

It was rather chilly that night but managed.
